Outside of what is seen she also wears black or dark blue robes or dresses that often have silver intertwined in ivy or rose patterns. Her eyes are unique due to her unique situation, and she usually wears her armor only when going out to hunt something that threatens the area she lives in.
Background: She was born an elf to parents who were both ableto use magic with some skill, however she in her early years showed no ability to do so herself. As a child she found peace in archery and book learning, so for almost a century she was either practicing her skills as an archer or studying with the scholar her parents hired to tutor her. However it was in her 97th year that she finally found her talent for magic, it was in two arts only. She found a conjuration spell that she was able to use and accidentally summoned a demon who she couldn't control, in her panic she summoned something else and found that the two clashed and she was caught in the middle. Distraught and worried her parents tried to intervene, but in the end she tried to dismiss them in an explosion of magical energy that left her unconcious and her tutor dead. She slept for seventy-six years, not dead but in a magical coma that left her soul seperated from her body and forced to find its way back. Though seperated there was always a link, which through it she learned about what changed and how society had moved on. When she awoke she was somehow changed and nothing like her own people, this led them to believe she had become tainted by whatever power she carried and she was thus banished on accusations of consorting with their enemies. She had a century of grace before she had to leave, and in this time she learned what she could greedily, she learned of magic, demons, dragons, and the plants that grew around her. She became a scholar and a warrior who always honored the decisions of her elders, in an effort to prove that banishment was uncalled for. It was after this period she vanished into the night and dwelled in the lowest places of human society, making her home and living as one who hunted what dwelled in the dark and selling magical reagents and remedies with the seeds she carried out with her. Her first known appearance in NYC was 1873, and she was regarded as an urban legend involving a shop that sold magic to whoever had need of it. This was not true, she sold it to whoever needed it of mystic origin and never humans unless they knew of the ancient powers and respected them.
It was in 1968 that she moved locations, after almost a century of being away from central park she moved into a storefront and apartment by the park. In the shifting times she had found more ease in integrating with human society, but their growing dependence on fossil fuels irritated her. This was because she was finding her ties to the mystical were dwindling, and her shop was suitable haven until the night fell when she found her abilities were at their peak. She took a habit of patrolling the area she lived in once again, and using her keen senses and ability with bow and magic she made sure that nothing harmed a human around her. Still people came and went, and by the 1980's she was now just a cosmic joke and a shop that curious people went to thinking she was a cheap fake who sold smoke and mirrors. She did little business but managed to stay afloat; most of her work was consulting for those who sought her knowledge on dragons and demons, or they sought rare ingredients or potions that only she carried. Still she grew even weaker in the daylight hours, and found that she slept more and only really opened in the evening and night. Now into the 21st century she keeps her shop and does consults, making times for hunting only when it is something worth her time or effort. After almost five hundred years she found herself desiring to live back home, a home that she is not allowed to return to for her reputation as a heretic. She has refined her magic abilities to be able to summon and contrl at least three beings, and found that what had changed her left her stronger and more adept at mobility. She is sometimes called 'the frost queen' due to her breath that freezes rather than burns, still she fights to keep her neighbors safe from harm when they do not know it. She is also a freelance contractor for problem handling, and has worked for the government or other private organizations if her services are needed are needed at any time.
Roleplay Sample: She stood on the rooftop and watched her quarry, now if that one group did not show she would have this one all to herself. It was some kind of demon some irresponsible being summoned and left unattended, that she had been contacted to kill as she knew enough on how to kill it. Spotting it moving behind some trees she aimed the holly arrow and silver, and drew it back as far as she could. The idea of a celtic beast annoyed her, but at least this one was at least an easy kill if she had a clean shot. Tracing it she finally launched her arrow, and slammed it into the back of it's head. Watching it fall she dropped to the ground and dashed to the spot, startling a few people who looked surpised and just stared as she headed over the closed fence and into central park. Once she reached the body she checked to see if it was dead, and confirming that she drew a circle around it and her so she could leave without anyone seeing. Speaking the words for a transport spell she appeared in the basement of her shop, and headed up to the client.
"Next time take more care, if it were a demon you'd have been dead. Now as for the fee, the body for reagents and a copy of the notes you used. This is one I don't have, I want it and the contract has been fulfilled." The nervous humanoid grumbled and gave her some papers, as well as some cash which was her standard fee. Bowing it left her shop, a silent being by nature she could never tell what it was thinking and instead just let it do business as it wished. Heading into the basement she started to take from the corpse what she needed, and what she could sell as well to those who would require some of the parts. This one was too easy, and the bumbling fool could have probably cleaned it up on his own. The thing was male, though from the robes one could not tell.
