Ty raised an eyebrow as he listened. When Abe had finished, he shot him a questioning glance. "Um...Abe? Could ya repeat that? In English? I ain't got NO IDEA what you just said..."

Hannah listened intently as Abe talked about how they could find the madman. Slowly, as he spoke, her face brightened and a smile formed on her lips. That was brilliant; half of her was surprised no one else had thought about it before, but the other half wasn't... Abe was smart.
"Um...Abe? Could ya repeat that? In English? I ain't got NO IDEA what you just said..."
The young woman glanced over at her bro for a second, rolling her eyes. Her gaze returned to the aquatic man before her. "It's a wonderful idea, Abe," she said, voice and eyes soft.

The icthyo sapien nodded his head at Hannah's splendidly agreeable reaction before giving Ty a sheepish look.
"Since I already did explain my plan of action in English, I've no idea how to help further your understanding... My sincerest apologies, friend."
Abe contemplatively stared downward, continuing his train of thought.
"We must enact this search as soon as possible. Every minute we delay could potentially bring harm to innocent lives and give the so-called mad scientist a more dire advantage over us all."

"Since I already did explain my plan of action in English, I've no idea how to help further your understanding... My sincerest apologies, friend."
Hannah couldn't help but giggle at that. She raised both hands to cover her mouth and let out the small laughs. Poor, poor Ty...
"We must enact this search as soon as possible. Every minute we delay could potentially bring harm to innocent lives and give the so-called mad scientist a more dire advantage over us all."
The woman nodded in agreement, lowering her hands. "We can get to work on the search tomorrow," she said. "When the rest of the team is here." She glanced around the mostly empty room, wondering where they could've gotten to.
That's when Hellboy casually strolled in, grape soda in hand. His right arm was soaked and dripping.
"Sorry I'm late," he mumbled. "Had some.... trouble with the vending machine." He cocked a grin, chuckling, and took a sip of his drink.

Ty frowned, still completely confused. He sighed and just nodded as they continued speaking. He felt like an idiot. He just stood there, feeling a little left out.
"Well...I'm in..." he said, hoping it didn't make him sound more stupid.
Then, Hellboy walked in, a soda in his left hand and soda all over his right one. "Sorry I'm late. Had some.... trouble with the vending machine." Ty couldn't help but laugh. "Nice work, Big Guy," He joked. "Now...who's replacin' the vendin' machine?" He shot Hellboy a grin.

Abe merely shook his head at Hellboy's (humorously) tactless incident with the soda machine.
The bluish water-dweller then turned to Hannah and made an important query.
"What are we to do until the rest of the team arrives?"

"Nice work, Big Guy. Now...who's replacin' the vendin' machine?"
Hellboy snorted. "Hey, s'not my fault it got jammed. I just wanted my drink."
"What are we to do until the rest of the team arrives?"
"Anyone got cards?" Hannah joked lightly. Then, she glanced over at the skeleton. "I think there might still be some information we can get from the remains... and the brain's in the freezer over there, if you want to study that." She pointed a finger to the freezer in question.

Ty laughed again. "Good job, Big Guy. Wait...does that mean I can just walk up to the machine and pull out a free drink? You know, assuming you didn't destroy them all?" Ty teased.
He actually kind of looked up to Hellboy, but found it fun to tease and joke around with him.
"Okay...so you guys have fun with the brain. I'm thirsty...." With that, Ty turned and headed for the vending machine.

"Very good, Hannah. I'll immediately commence my studying of that Hive's brain."
The icthyo sapien stepped a few feet toward the freezer, but halted when he realized an error in his actions to come.
Looking embarrassed and unsure, the bluish humanoid turned to look back at Hannah.
"Might you...remove the specimen's brain from the freezer? I feel a bit squeamish touching it myself."

Hellboy chuckled as Ty left to get a drink from the now-broken machine, then leaned against the wall. He wasn't the studying type; he'd leave that up to Hannah and Abe.
Hannah watched as Abe went to go get the creature's brain. She looked back to the skull in her hands and started examining it.
"Might you...remove the specimen's brain from the freezer? I feel a bit squeamish touching it myself..."
The woman's gaze shifted back up to him, and she couldn't help but chuckle. "Afraid of a little brain?" Still, she set the skull down and brushed past him, to the freezer. She opened it up and pulled out the Hive's mind with both hands, then turned and shut the door with her shoulder. She gave Abe a soft smile.
Hellboy had to try really hard to hold back his laughter.

"Thank you, Hannah," Abe said, thankful and relieved for her deed. "Go ahead and place it on the table for me? I needn't have you holding it unnecessarily for an extended period of time."
The blue man walked up to the mentioned table and waited for his dear friend to do just that.

Hannah nodded, walking back to the table with him. She tenderly set the organ down, then stepped back, to sit in her chair again. The woman picked up the skull and went back to studying.
She chewed on her bottom lip as she thought about the Hive. She wanted to know why exactly they had been created... what had pushed the man to these sort of depths. She traced over one of the eye sockets with her index finger, frowning deeply.
"Why would someone do this?" she murmured out loud. "And why would that guy treat them like his pets if he's using them for his own gain? It doesn't make sense."

"I'm utterly uncertain," Abe began as he studied the physiology of the Hive's deceased brain with his ability. "About this man's actions and motives. Indeed, I suppose that's why we refer to him as a mad scientist."
The icthyo sapien was picking up peculiar oddities from the brain. However, none would lead to a miraculous breakthrough in their pursuit of the culprit they sought. Still, he persisted in scanning every last centimeter in the hopes of finding something that could help.

"No, no..." Hannah murmured. "Even the craziest of serial killers have a reason. Every one has a reason for every action they perform, whether they know it or not."
The woman brushed a loose lock of hair out of her eyes, frowning with concentration. The cogs in her brain were whirring out of control as piece after piece clicked, until...
It fell into place.
"He's not the one in charge," she stated grimly. "Someone else is pulling the strings. He treats those things like his pets because they are... someone else is using him to use them."
She stared silently at the skull after saying that, holding it's face towards her own.
"I don't think he's the bad guy here."
Red cocked a brow, frowning with her. He had a gut feeling she was right, but he didn't know why. Still, he nodded in agreement, then turned to see what Abe thought. The half demon took another sip of his drink.

Abe was momentarily awed at Hannah's deductive hypothesis. The stunned expression soon melted away into one of congratulatory appreciation. Apparently, the elemental woman had moments of profound clairvoyance like himself.
"Very illuminating, Hannah," Abe praised, very impressed. "That is quite sensible, and if we're successful in locating where he last disappeared, we'll find the true culprit."
After scanning the brain a few more times, the bluish humanoid found nothing of interest and so kindly beckoned for Hannah to return the organ from whence it came.
"I believe I'm done, Hannah. We can keep it frozen just in case, but this brain has served its usefulness."
