The Hive fell one by one as they were killed by the daggers, a couple of them screaming as they died.
Back at the lab, the Queen winced with every single death.
Hannah sobbed silently with the pain of her mangled arm, feeling nauseous. She barely heard as Ty talked, but nodded shakily, understanding what he said.
"Y... yeah..." she said. "Someone... should check."
Red's head snapped to look at Liz, expression going from anger to shock in the blink of an eye. He looked around the room for his daughter, a sick feeling forming in the pit of his stomach. But he soon saw her, hidden on the other side of the bed. The half demon sighed with relief.
"She's right there," he murmured. But then he turned his attention back to the door. It was giving; one of the creatures was poking its paw-like hand through a hole in the side. Growling, Hellboy shot the hand, and the thing gave an angry yelp.

Liz's eyes followed Hellboy's gaze as it landed on their daughter and she let out a sigh of relief. Her heart had been pounding at a mile a minute but it's speed halved when she realised Teo was okay. She couldn't completely relax however as one of the Hive's paw's made it through the door. She felt Trevor jump next to her at the loud shot that Hellboy had fired at the creature and she murmured to her son quietly, trying to soothe him.
"This is bad...there weren't near as many of 'em last....WAIT! What if the guy's outside again? Should someone go check?"
"Y... yeah... Someone... should check."
Sarah shoved the thoroughly fried body of the Hive off of her and staggered to her feet, pressing a hand against the wound in her arm to try and stop the bleeding. "I'll go," she offered as she looked around the hallway, blood, bodies and carnage surrounded them. "This is our home and he needs to pay."

The icthyo sapien charged forth from the library, fully prepared to defend the BPRD HQ and help repel the Hives' invasion. Already, he noticed there were two Hive-creatures in his vicinity. They had been prowling down the corridor when bluish man rushed out of his bookkeeping sanctuary. Not even wasting a second, the genetic experiments rushed toward him. Unfortunately for the artificial entities, Abe saw them coming. The blue nonhuman readied the sabers and stood his ground. The Hive-creatures pounced, but the nonhuman agent skillfully sidestepped one of them. With a swift arc of his right saber, a Hive was swiftly decapitated. When the other monster landed on the ground and turned about, Abe propelled the very same saber into its left eye-socket. Withdrawing the saber, the beast lifelessly fell to the floor. Afterward, he scanned the area and decided it was a very fitting time to join Hellboy and the others. Not wanting to leave himself vulnerable to attack, he didn't dare glance at the slain creatures in remorse as he searched for his friends. They were his most precious priority. ------ As soon as Abe quickly entered the staff quarters, he saw Hannah, Sarah and Ty. He keenly noticed that Hannah was covered in blood... The icthyo sapien was somewhat painted with the liquid life-essence too from the enemies he slew to get there, but this wasn't the case with Hannah. Approaching the group, he noticed the missing portion of flesh from her arm. "Friends! Are you all unharmed?" Abe called. Dropping only one of his sabers, the blue creature went to hydrokinetic woman. "Hannah..." The aquatic man half-embraced her in dire concern. He was uncertain about what to say, but he knew that she required immediate medical treatment.

Ty couldn't help but feel the cold intense hatred toward these creatures. He put his daggers back in his belt and pulled out his guns, reloading them. Ty nodded at Sarah. "Alright. You be careful..."
He looked at Abe when he walked in. "Is everyone unharmed..." Ty repeated coldly. "Why don'tcha look at Hannah's arm and ask that again?" He sighed shaking his head. "Sorry...look, you take care of her, okay? Sarah, you're gunna need backup. I'm ready when you are." He stood ready, wanting to end this and go back to bed....

"Hannah..."
"Hey, Abe," Hannah said as she was embraced, leaning on to him for support. She cradled her injured right arm with her left one, letting out a whimper. The pain was beginning to turn into numbness, which was both a relief and something to be afraid of.
The Hive finally pushed through the door, sending it tumbling to the ground. The one with the shot hand-paw glared and limped over the crumpled metal.
Teodora screamed, and Hellboy started shooting at the creatures, pissed off now.

Liz jumped as the door crashed to the ground and the Hive made their way into the room. Her eyes snapped to Teodora at her scream then back at Trevor as he began to cry. Hellboy was shooting and she could tell he was angry. And so was she.
"Trevor," she said firmly, "grab your sister and hide, like we talked about, okay?" Trevor nodded and reluctantly seperated himself from his mother's grasp, grabbing his sister and taking her to their allotted hiding place. With her children safely out of the way, Liz got up from bed and allowed the flames to engulf her entirely before throwing balls of fire at the Hive. They yelped as the flames hit them but it wasn't fatal, that was what HB's bullet's were for, she was happy to just slow them down. She could hear her children crying somewhere behind her and her jaw tightened, the flames around her burning hotter, her vision becoming full of fire. She kept herself as calm as possible, she didn't need to explode, not right now, not unless it was absolutely necessary.
"Alright. You be careful..."
Sarah nodded and tugged hard on what remained of the sleeve of her jacket. There was a loud ripping sound as the sleeve came free and, using her good arm and her teeth, she tied it around the wound on her arm so she wouldn't bleed out in her search for the mad scientist who created these creatures. She nodded at Abe in acknowledgement when he entered and then refocused on her arm, growling slightly as the makeshift bandage bit into her arm. But it would suffice to stop the bleeding.
"...Sarah, you're gunna need backup. I'm ready when you are."
Well, she wasn't about to say no to an extra gun hand, especially when her aim was so off at the moment. She bent down and picked up her gun, checked to make sure everything was till working before nodding at Ty. "Let's go then,' she said, leading the way out of the building.

As Ty and Sarah departed to thwart the maniacal scientist from achieving his dark goal, Abe tended to Hannah. Merely by looking at the gifted human female, he deduced that if she didn't get medical attention soon, the wound would be fatal. The blue one became grimly determined to get his precious friend to the medical ward, no matter what obstacle.
Never one to waste time, Abe immediately ripped off a sizable portion of her jeans. By tying it snugly around the injury, the icthyo sapien concluded this was the best he could do for her. Indeed, he had to get her safely to the sickbay.
"Hannah? I'm taking you to the BPRD's medical center. With my powers, I'll be able to feel the safest path away from the Hive. So, please. Please find the strength to stay alive." He whispered delicately to the wounded woman.
Abe tenderly made Hannah stand upright and slung her arm around his shoulders. Still equipped with a saber at his side, he used his mind-reading ability to feel the way. No matter how much faith the humanoid had in his abilities, he tightly held onto Hannah regardless.
By doing this, he thought that either he could stave off death from taking her away or allowing himself to be taken along with her.

Ty took off right behind Sarah as they ran through the building, greeting any Hive they met with a shower of bullets. William wasn't going to get away. Not this time...
Meanwhile, William stood outside, kind of hoping someone, especially Ty, would come after him. After all, he had so many toys he hadn't tried out on living targets yet...

Hannah nodded to Abe, eyes half closed. The room was beginning to spin... The woman barely felt as he wrapped part of her jeans around her arm, as he picked her up. She leaned her head on his shoulder.
A few of the Hive stood around William, acting as bodyguards. They chirped and mewed, moving around him in an organized manner.
The ones in Hellboy's room were burned and shot until they were all dead, but the half demon was still angry. His rage only increased when he heard his children crying, and he knew there were more Hive in the building... if there were any "live meat" smells, the Hive would find them. Red cracked the knuckles on his right hand, unsure of what to do now.
24020 could smell the fast man in the air... The male Hive raised his head up, scenting for Ty.

Liz let the flames dissipate when she realised all the Hive in the immediate vicinity were dead, and ran to the back of the room to check on her children. They were crying, eyes red with tears, but they were otherwise unharmed. Nonetheless, she checked them over quickly, just to make sure. She kissed each of them on the forehead when she was satisfied they were fine and turned to Hellboy. She could see he was still angry, and possibly anxious to kill a few more of the creatures.
"Go," she said to him. "I'll stay here."
Sarah gasped quietly as the cold hit her, but in a moment she had adjusted and she was searching the grounds for the Hive and their insane creator. She'd still been moving quickly when she finally spotted them and stopped suddenly. He was there alright, surrounded by his freakish creatures.
"Well, that solves that mystery," she muttered, lifting her gun. "Now what?"

Against all improbability, Abe succeeded in getting Hannah to the med-ward. However, much to the aquatic humanoid's surprise, it was bristling with overhwhelming activity. Indeed, many who had been seriously injured by the Hive were carefully being tended to here.
"Someone, please! Help me! She needs help!" Abe cried out to the medical staff. Fortunately, there was just enough people who came and immediately began doing all they could for the wounded woman. As the icthyo sapien watched Hannah being taken to a distant bed, he felt relief as well as worry.
The blue one truly desired to stay by her side during the dire ordeal, but he desired to fulfill his duty as a BPRD agent and fight away the ferocious monsters. As he turned to leave the med-center, his mind-reading ability suddenly sensed multiple quantities of the Hive closing nearer to it. Only alarmed for a mere moment, he grabbed onto his saber and yelled to the staff.
"Everyone! The monsters are coming! Lock this door behind me and barricade it if you have to!"
Abe quickly exited the med-ward as the doctors and nurses secured its doors. Fortunately, they did this not a moment too soon, for the hungry beasts already rounded the corner. Before charging at the bluish man, they stopped and growled menacingly as one fierce predatory god.
Abe didn't hesitate as he launched himself toward the creatures.

Ty braced himself when the cold air met his bare upper body. His guns were still held ready.
"Now what?"
"Now...we take him down. Get behind me, and be careful. He tends to keep his best with him." He approached them slowly, guns ready.
"Look, 24020...it's your friend..." William said with an evil grin as he looked at 24020. "Wanna go play?"

Hannah slowly slipped into unconciousness as she was layed down on a medical table, but she would live. She was in good care now. Her eyes rolled fully shut, and her breathing steadied into a slow and calm rhythm.
24020 licked his lips when William spoke, and his red eyes narrowed. The Hive's lips spread into a sickening grin.
"Yes, master." The creature stepped forward, fine musculature showing with every move he made. His ID tag swung in the breeze as he licked his lips. He prepared to lunge, every sinew in his body tensing in anticipation of the leap. And then 24020 jumped forward, claws latching on to Ty's calf.
One of the Hive surrounding Abe went straight for the sword hand; it was a pack leader, one of the smarter ones. It knew what a weapon was, and it knew it had the advantage if it disarmed him. It aimed it's sabres at his wrist....
Hellboy gave Liz a grim smile. "I'll be back," the half demon promised, giving her a quick kiss on the forehead before running out of the room, gun in hand.

Liz returned Red's smile as he kissed her and watched him run from the room before turning back to her children. They had quietened down now but were still clearly terrified. But she'd be able to take care of anything else that came through that door.
"Now...we take him down. Get behind me, and be careful. He tends to keep his best with him."
Sarah shot a look at Ty as he decided to take charge then shrugged and did as she was told. She figured he knew more about these things than she did. And he had two working arms. But no sooner than she had stepped behind him had one of the Hive creatures had sunk its claws into Ty's leg.
"Holy crap!" she cried firing at the animal. She missed the head but managed to hit it in one of it's rear legs. These things were fast... she knew that already, but seeing it in action was something else entirely.

Abe was definitely in a precarious fight.
The icthyo sapien was amazed at the incredible reflexes of this Hive-creature that was charging him. Acting with his own reflexiveness, the bluish man quickly dodged the oncoming monster. Seizing a chance to retaliate, Abe brought his saber down to pierce its back.
Before that could happen, the Hive-monster sharply avoided the strike. The beast then prepared itself to pounce on Abe, but a sudden combative concept came to the forefront of the aquatic being's mind. There was only very little time to prepare and no time at all to make a mistake.
Thus did the Hive flex its powerful muscles and soar through the air toward the icthyo sapien. However, Abe smoothly ducked down low beneath it and swiftly jabbed in an upward motion. It was that action alone that cleaved free the beast's intestines.
The vital organs spilled across the floor as the monster limply fell. It was slain and knew no more.
Moving with haste, Abe prepared himself for more bloodshed.
