((Please let the Hive crash into the building before you do anything. The Hive and Will need a few posts alone before anyone else jumps in. Once the Hive are in the building and I bring in Hannah, then you can post.
I feel in a writey mood, so... this is gonna be in more of my novel-style then my usual roleplay style. This is how I write when it's for a story. xDD))
----
There was no moon out above the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense that night. There were clouds covering the stars. A strong wind rolled through the grasses around the complex, laying the grass down flat as it steamrolled through. It was as if nature itself knew what was coming for this building.
The ink-black night seemed to cling to their skins as they padded forward, swift and silent like the death they carried. Their breaths huffed between their mouths as they drank in the scents of this compound, tasting everything that had walked through here, everything that had gone on in the last month and more. And then there were the smells from the inside, the meat-smells of humans and... nonhumans. A few of the deadly creatures gave bird-like chatters when they smelled the nonhumans.
And they were hungry. God, how they hungered. They had not fed that day, none of them. All had been busy preparing. Even the ones that weren't hungry could feel the sharp, searing pain in their ribs coursing through the shared mind. They wanted meat. New meat. Untasted meat. But they were here on a mission; they couldn't eat yet. As if on cue, the stomachs of a few rumbled achingly, sending a whine throughout the lot. The red eyes of hundreds of Hive, six packs in all, turned to the one man amongst them, their master, their commander, in unison. All awaiting orders.
Perfect pets.

In the pitch black of the night, William stood in the middle of the large group of Hive, cane in hand, and a few other gadgets on him this time, but those would be revealed later. He took in a breath as he surveyed the area they'd been to before.
He smiled an evil grin as all of his babies turned to look at him. Tonight was a big night. Vengeance would be his. Tonight, the Hive would taste new meat. "Super" meat, even. The thought of that made him smile that much more.
He nodded his head at his creations. His super-predators. His pets. "Go," he said. Tonight would be a nightmare the BPRD would not soon forget.

They all screamed together happily, raising their heads high with the call of war. The cat-like creatures ran to the complex, crashing through the already-broken gate, which still had not been fixed since the last time they had ran through this building.
They smashed in through windows, doors, anything opening they could find, licking their lips and beginning their hunt. The well-toned muscles rippled under their coats, and their white sabre teeth shone through the darkness, making them all the more menacing.
Hannah was awoken by their screeching. She sat bolt upright in her bed, silver eyes widened in fear. A bad dream? But the noises were still there...
Oh, no...
She shook like a leaf, but stood and rushed to get dressed. The woman grabbed her favorite, oversized revolver and a few other choice weapons and shoved them roughly into the pockets on her belt. Please, God, let this just be a bad dream...

William smiled to himself as they crashed through the complex. He stood on the lawn, as he had last time, waiting for his babies' hunt to be complete. "Yes, my babies. Have fun..."
"Oh God...not again..."Ty muttered when he heard the calls. He leaped out of bed, grabbing his belt of weapons and putting it on. He dashed out into the hallway, dagger in his left hand, pistol in his right. He looked around, weapons ready, wearing nothing but his belt and a pair of green boxers with teddy bear faces on them.

Hannah stepped out of her room, dressed in a red tanktop and slim jeans. Ty's room was a bit ahead of hers, so when she stepped out she saw him... in his boxers. She swiftly covered her eyes with her left hand, gun in the right.
"Ugh! Did you not even bother to try and get dressed?"
The Hive sniffed around, breaking through doors and destroying everything in their path. Their screeches resounded through the entire building. A few had already felled unlucky, ungifted agents and were chewing on the corpses hungrily.
Hellboy was a deep sleeper and hadn't been woken up yet, but his daughter wasn't. Teodora stood, back to her parent's bed, staring at the door to the large, apartment-like room they lived in, where scratching noises were coming from. She was afraid to wake her father up, but she was also afraid of what might be out there. The little girl let out a small whine.

A loud screeching in the back of her mind caused Liz to twitch slightly in her sleep. She clenched her eyes shut tighter against the noise, it was too early for her alarm clock, right? But the screech sounded again and she groaned, holding on to the last few traces of sleep she had left. But another sound tore from unconsciousness an she sat up suddenly, searching the room. Finally, her eyes fell on Teodora, a soft whining coming from her. She frowned and was about to ask what the matter was when she heard the scratching noises coming from the other side of the door. It took her moment for her tired brain to put the screeching noises and the scratches together, but she did it eventually. The Hive. She hadn't been working on that case herself, but she knew about it, it was a big one.
Immediately, Liz turned to Red who was, typically, still asleep. "Red," she said loudly, shoving him. Nothing. "Teo, baby," she said, turning her attention briefly to her daughter. "I need you to go and wake up your brother, can you do that for me sweetie?" The girl was frozen to the spot. "Teo!" she said, slightly sharper. Teodora jumped, and turned to her mother, staring at her in shock before nodding and running over to where Trevor slept. Liz stared back down at Hellboy and sighed, picking up her pillow and whacking him firmly in the face. "Red!" she said, her voice becoming frantic as the scratching sounds on the door became more persistant.

Ty frowned. "Well, excuse me if I think people's lives are more important than pants!" He walked back to his room, and returned with a pair of pants slung over his shoulder. "There. Happy?"

"Yes," Hannah said, chuckling. She brushed a lock of hair out of her eyes. "Now let's go kick some ass."
A few of the Hive were at Hellboy and Liz's door, confused by the fact that they hadn't been able to get in yet. One of them yowled and pushed as hard as it could against the large, metal contraption, the other four following suit. The door began to creak with the pressure.
Red was awoken abruptly by the pillow to the face, and his eyes snapped open. He sat up, groggy. He looked at Liz, who seemed... impatient, somewhat frightened. "What, what's wrong?" he asked in a worried tone. That's when he noticed the door creaking.
The half demon turned to stare at it. He gave a deep frown. "What's going on?"

"What's going on?"
"They're in the building," Liz explained, hoping she didn't need to go into too much detail about what 'they' were. She felt someone wrap around her arm and looked down to see Trevor, now awake, clinging to her.
"It'll be okay, sweetie," she said softly, stroking his hair, her eyes locked on the door that threatened to give way at any moment. She moved her hand away from Trevor's head and immediately a soft blue flame engulfed it. If those things got through the door, they weren't having her children. Not if she could help it.
The screeching had woken Sarah immediately, but she'd stayed in bed, hoping it was all just a really bad dream, her mind playing tricks. But as the screeching continued and the glass broke and the footsteps outside her door grew louder, she knew that it was in fact actually happening. She slid her hand under her pillow where she'd taken to leaving her gun after the first attack, and gripped it tightly, sliding out of bed and pulling on a pair of jeans and a zip up hoodie. As quietly as she could she slipped out of her room and looked around for... well... anyone really. She spotted Hannah and Ty down the hall and made her way over to them, looking at Ty in confusion as his pants were draped over his shoulder.
"You know those are supposed to go on your legs, right?"

Ty frowned, putting his weapons down and putting his pants on. His belt just sat there above the rim of his pants. He picked up his gun and dagger. "There. Now, let's go."
He looked down the hall. Cass was in his room asleep. He didn't see the need to wake her. He held his weapons ready. They should be charging in any time now....

And they did, five barreling into the room with nothing on their mind but food. As soon as they saw the three people standing there, they yowled together then leaped for the agents.
Hannah was prepared to shoot, but before she could one of the Hive latched on to her gun arm with it's claws, tearing some of the skin off. The woman screamed as the white-hot pain coursed through her nerves, eyes watering and tears streaming down her face. She dropped the revolver, and it landed on the floor with a saddening clatter. The Hive pushed her over easily and was on top of her, ready to strike.
The Hive at Hellboy's door were beginning to succeed; they could feel it in their bones. Their chatter grew.
Hellboy glared at the door once he knew what was behind it. He was immediately out of the bed. In a rush, he pulled on some pants, his belt, and his trenchcoat. The half demon picked his favorite gun up from where he had layed it down, then aimed it at the door.
Those monsters wouldn't touch his children, and they wouldn't touch Liz, as long as he was still alive. An angry, protective intensity burned in his golden eyes.

Ty fired off a few shots at the approaching Hive. He turned cold when he saw one rip the skin off of Hannah's arm. That scream, the tears streaming down her face. His blue eyes flashed with a new intensity.
He rushed full speed at the Hive attacking Hannah. He lunged at one, tackling it and stabbing his dagger into its face. It went in deep, right between the eyes. It sent them both to the ground. Ty rolled to his feet, pulled two more daggers out of his belt and was ready for more.

Liz watched as Hellboy got out of bed and readied himself to fight, raising her flame covered hand to the door. She freed her other arm from Trevor's grip and pulled her son close, feeling tears of fear fall onto her neck. The door to the room looked as if it were about to collapse and those things were about to get in. But Liz barely noticed that as she noticed something else was wrong.
"Teo," she whispered as her eyes snapped up to Red. "Where's Teo?"
Sarah managed to roll out of the way as the Hive leapt at them, but only just and one of the sabres grazed her arm, tearing through the fabric of her jacket and her skin. She cried out and shook her head, trying to clear it of the pain. Blood was streaming down her arm and pooling on the floor beneath her but she ignore it and got to her feet. She lifted her gun, her arm protesting with the movement, and tried to fire it at the Hive. She missed and hit the wall behind it. Her eyes moved to Hannah at her scream and she pointed her gun at the Hive on top of the other agent but before she even had a chance to fire, one of the other Hive leapt at her, knocking her to the ground. Her gun fell from her hands and she swore loudly as pressure was put on her injured arm. She could see the Hive creature prepare to bit into her but with her other hand she grasped it's collar tightly, sending intense electric shocks through the animals system.

Post by Abe Sapien on Jul 28, 2009 16:42:18 GMT -6
The Hives' second assault on the BPRD's HQ was being executed with extreme efficiency. As one mighty force of bloodshed and mayhem, a steady stream of the genetically engineered creatures charged into the building. Their unified minds were entirely intent upon gorging themselves on the flesh of prey, which was basically every last life residing therein. Undeniably, no mercy would be given, for the Hives' instinctive overwhelming hunger and blind willingness to lovingly please their revengeful creator was absolute.
As the unique race of loyal pets commenced the ruthless rampage, Abe was outside of his tank, which was something he rarely did. The icthyo sapien was busying himself with shelving books when he suddenly sensed a dire coldness settle within his being. A coldness the blue one had come to equate with death. Immediately, the aquatic humanoid halted his activity and rushed out of the library, but not before grabbing twin-sabers that hung on the wall opposite to his tank.
He, as well as his comrades, were in untold peril.

Ty stood ready, a dagger in each hand. He tossed a dagger at the nearest Hive, and drew another. He had five total, meaning he had three daggers left on him: one in each hand, one on his belt.
"This is bad...there weren't near as many of 'em last....WAIT! What if the guy's outside again? Should someone go check?"
