Serena took the piece of paper handed to her and put it in her pocket. "Two days... she repeated. Then Sarah spoke and said that she should accompany her to the BPRD and answer things.
Serena nodded. "I will." She looked back at the person with the gun and said calmly, "His beasts have killed a lot of people. We all want him down. I'm speaking for myself, but that's enough for me to join forces for now. We'll see what happens in the future."

Sarah listened to the guys explanation of why he was willing to work with agents and shrugged. It sounded like a fair point.
"I know government agents aren't used to trusting people like me, but I'm going to have to ask you to trust me. If it makes you feel better, I'm just as uncomfortable about this as you are. But this man's beasts killed someone that happened to be close to me, and I'm gonna get him for that."
She sighed, it wasn't that she was a government agent and he was a... what ever he was. She was just disinclined to trust people in general. But if this would get those damn dog things and their crazy ass master out of her city, then she was willing to try almost anything.
"Alright," she agreed finally. "Do we at least get your name before you swoop off into the darkness or whatever?"
She turned her attention to the other woman when she spoke. She liked the fact that she was entirely calm about his whole situation. Hopefully that meant she'd be great back up in a tight spot.

Marcus was glad that the two women had decided to help him. When Sarah asked him for his name, he said, "Nah, names are cheap. But you can call me Q if you'd like. I always did like him, very helpful man."
Marcus checked his watch. "Well, would you look at the time. I have a very important meeting to get to: You know, top secret and what not. But it's been a pleasure meeting with you two. Don't forget to call the number in two days!" he instructed. "Oh, and try not to get hurt, please and thank you. It would really slow us down, something I find very frustrating."

Serena listened as Marcus started to bid them farewell. "I'll call you in two days. Then we'll figure out plans."
Then she turned to the woman and said, "I'll answer any questions that you'd like to know as we head to BPRD." She looked at the man once more and said, "Staying unhurt isn't always easy, but I'll try."

Sarah narrowed her eyes once again at the guy with the gun. She would make up a more fitting name for him later.
"I'll answer any questions that you'd like to know as we head to BPRD."
Sarah nodded. "We'll start with 'who are you?' shall we?"
"Oh, and try not to get hurt, please and thank you. It would really slow us down, something I find very frustrating."
Sarah rolled her eyes. "Darn, and I was planning on getting beaten to a pulp tomorrow..." she sighed. This was giong to be bundles of fun, wasn't it? "See you in two days," she said, turning away from him.

Marcus nodded to the two and melted back into the crowd. He quickly made his way from Times Square. He didn't have a specific destination in mind, he just wanted to walk around and think.
<It's a good thing I could convince those two. They seem to know what could happen, what they're getting themselves into. I wonder what was so special about the pale one though,> he thought. <I guess I'll find out in two days.>

Serena watched the guy melt away before turning back. "Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I didn't know what that guy was up to."
As they made their way to the BPRD, Serena said, "My name's Serena. I take it, from that guy, that you're Sarah? It's nice to meet you. Wish it would be under better circumstances, but we deal with what we're given." Her eyes looked at Sarah, wondering what else she'd ask.

"Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I didn't know what that guy was up to."
Sarah shrugged and offered the woman a small smile. "No problem... I'm still in the dark about what he's up to, to be perfectly honest."
"Serena, huh?" she said thoughtfully. She was pretty sure she'd heard that name before somewhere... then again, she probably wasn't the only person in the world named Serena so it wasn't that strange. "Yep, I'm Sarah. BPRD agent, machine manipulator... oh crap, hang on a sec." Sarah stopped moving and placed a hand on the building next to her, concentrating for a moment until the lights and screens returned to life. "If we could avoid mentioning I had anything to do with them turning off, that would be great."
She started moving again and looked at Serena for a long moment. "So what's your deal?" she asked. "I mean, why would any one willingly get involved with the dog/cats from hell?"

Serena watched as Sarah turned the building lights and the works work again. "I won't mention a word of it." She smiled a little though, finding some humor in it. She didn't ask any questions though, she'd just answer Sarah's questions.
"So what's your deal?" Serena, at first was confused. Sarah quickly fixed that though. "Oh. Well, I've seen life and I've lived life. I'd much rather be the one killed than anyone else. I also don't want to see Ty hurt, or anyone else for that matter."

"Oh. Well, I've seen life and I've lived life. I'd much rather be the one killed than anyone else. I also don't want to see Ty hurt, or anyone else for that matter."
"You'd rather be killed than others?" Sarah asked, thinking for a moment. "That's valiant, I'll give you that... if a little morbid."
Then something else Serena said finally clicked in her head. "Okay, hold up, you know Ty, how exactly?" If Sarah had decided to stop and think for a moment, she may have remembered that BPRD agents didn't exactly live in holes in the ground and were free to roam the city and speak to whomever they wanted. But why stop and think when you're exhausted and confused?

Serena nodded. "I've lived longer than you have, Sarah...." She felt no further need to say anymore. She might understand it anyways. Then she asked about how she knew Ty and all about that.
Serena actually smiled and even gave a small giggle. "I know Ty. I met him not too long ago. We helped each other out of rough patches." Thinking about Ty, made her smile. "Ty's also my boyfriend. So, yeah, we've come to know each other pretty well."

Sarah raised an eyebrow at Serena's claim that she had lived longer than her but stayed silent. If there was one thing she had learnt while living with the BPRD, was that nothing was quite what it seemed.
"I know Ty. I met him not too long ago. We helped each other out of rough patches." Sarah did not miss the small smile that formed on the other woman's face. "Ty's also my boyfriend. So, yeah, we've come to know each other pretty well."
Then something in Sarah's head clicked. "Oh you're that Serena!" she said, giving the woman a warm smile. "Word travels fast," she explained quickly. That made Serena a lot easier to trust... much more so than mysterious gun dude. If Ty trusted her enough to date her, then she was almost definitely alright.

Serena looked a little surprised of what Sarah said and then figured that Ty must have told them. "Ty told you, I assume? Or did you run into my brother and he asked if you knew me?" She gave an amused smile as they walked.
"So. You know Ty. How'd you meet him?" She was patient, but she didn't know if Sarah had any more questions.

"Ty told you, I assume? Or did you run into my brother and he asked if you knew me?"
"More like vague rumours," Sarah said. "When you live in close quarters it's hard not to hear these things... there's a brother?"
A slight breeze caught her off guard and she shivered slightly. She looked around, trying to get her bearings, wondering how much longer till the warmth of the BPRD building. Not too much further... she could last that long.
"So. You know Ty. How'd you meet him?"
"We work together," Sarah explained. "At the BPRD..." she trailed off, she didn't know how much Serena knew. Dating or not, agents didn't necessarily tell their other halves what exactly it was they did. It was pretty classified information.

Serena nodded. "Yeah, there's a brother. I do believe he broke down the BPRD door. Which, I do have the money to pay you all back for that..."
She looked over at Sarah, with the mention of BPRD, and smiled. "So you're an agent there, hm? That's good." She didn't want to work with someone she didn't trust. She noticed the shiver, and looked ahead. "We're almost there...it'll be warm inside."
