Marcus was bored.
It had seemed that way since he'd faced the demon. < Nothing interesting happens,> he sighed as he strolled down the street. He looked up and realized he was in Times Square. < Hmm, things could possibly get interesting now,> he thought.
Marcus looked around for a familiar face, but didn't see one. Not that he minded; Marcus never felt uncomfortabe around strangers. So Marcus wandered the square for some time, looking up at the screens and just waiting for something to happen.

Sarah knew she probably shouldn't have done it. She was probably going to get into a lot of trouble if the BPRD found out it was her. Which they undoubtedly would, because they always seemed to know everything. But nonetheless, she had done it. What had she done? She had been bored, and frustrated, and the lights and noise of Times Square that were normally a comfort to her were just irritating the crap out of her. She, placing a hand against one of the buildings and concentrating, she had shut down all of the technology in Times Square. She looked around the darkness into the chaos. Yeah, she was going to be in so much trouble.

Marcus had turned his gaze from the screens and surveyed the square. It was bustling with people hurrying from one place to another and people just staring up at the screens. As he began to walk out of the square, he caught sight of a woman wither her hand on a building and seemingly concentrating on nothing. That was when the screens turned off.
If there was one thing Marcus had learned, it was coincidences didn't happen. He knew it was just too perfect, that woman had done something. Marcus realized that she was probably a BPRD agent. Something clicked in his head; this situation offered promise.
Marcus quickly made his way over to the woman, coming from behind. As soon as he reached her, he pulled out his gun, making sure to keep it concealed, and grabbed the woman's arm. "Don't scream, or it will be worse for you," he whispered into her ear, pressing the consealed gun to her back. "I need your help, and right now you need to help me."

Sarah bit back a gasp as someone grabbed her arm. "Don't scream, or it will be worse for you." She felt something dig into her back and, judging from the mechanics she could feel in it, it was a gun. A gun was no problem at this range, she could easily jam it. The problem would only be if he moved away and pointed the gun at her. I need your help, and right now you need to help me."
Admittedly, Sarah was curious. A big flaw in her character that often landed her in trouble. "You know, usually when people ask for help, they don't point guns at people," she said calmly.

Serena was let out of her house on her own finally. She strolled the streets after going to the county jail to feed. Soon she saw herself in times square and a light turning off. Soon, she saw trouble and she knew she had to do something.
Serena ran around the building to be behind the man and then hissed, "What do you think you're doing, hm? I highly suggest you let her go." She didn't know what she was doing either.

Marcus began to explain to the woman. "You see, I need to accomplish something and I need the BPRD's help," he started. Just then, he heard a voice behind him say, "What do you think you're doing, hm? I highly suggest you let her go." <Shouldn't have thought she'd be alone,> he cursed inwardly.
"As I was just explaining, I need some help with something. There's a guy who REALLY needs to learn his lesson, and I can't do it alone. He's done quite a few bad things. Terrible man, really," he said dryly. "And yes, normal people who need help don't point guns, but I'm not exactly normal and I wouldn't be surprised if your people tried to kill me on sight. So I need some leverage. Est-ce que vous me comprenez?"

"You see, I need to accomplish something and I need the BPRD's help,"
Sarah nodded slightly. Everybody needed the BPRD these days. They were awfully popular. Her eyes closed and she silently cursed whatever higher power was out there when she heard another voice. "What do you think you're doing, hm? I highly suggest you let her go." Because she really needed more people to get involved with a guy with a gun.
"Thanks, but I've got this," she assured the other woman.
"As I was just explaining, I need some help with something. There's a guy who REALLY needs to learn his lesson, and I can't do it alone. He's done quite a few bad things. Terrible man, really... And yes, normal people who need help don't point guns, but I'm not exactly normal and I wouldn't be surprised if your people tried to kill me on sight. So I need some leverage. Est-ce que vous me comprenez?"
Jesus Christ on a stick, how many terrible men were running around at the moment? "Pointing a gun at a BPRD agent is pretty ballsy," she said. "I hope your plan isn't to go in there, holding me at gun point as your human shield. We have people there who could take you down without even making me blink" She turned her head to the side so she could look at him out of the corner of her eye. "But if you put the gun away, I'll be happy to take you down there and get them to look into your problem."

Marcus sighed. The woman was being nice, but she had forgotten what he had just said. Ignoring the woman behind him, he said, "Listen, I think you're a nice lady who has good intentions. But like I just said, if I walked in there I'd get shot on site. Trust me, you guys want me dead. And by all means you guys have it right."
He sighed and continued, "Let me give you a bit of info. The man I'm talking about controls a horde of vicious cats. They killed a friend of mine. And I wouldn't exactly be walking into the building myself. But that's getting ahead of myself. The point is, I need you to help me."

"Listen, I think you're a nice lady who has good intentions. But like I just said, if I walked in there I'd get shot on site. Trust me, you guys want me dead. And by all means you guys have it right."
Sarah sighed. She had no idea who this guy was but she wouldn't put it passed the BPRD to have a whole list of people they wanted dead. Of course, you'd think they'd let the agents know but hey... that was the government for you.
"Let me give you a bit of info. The man I'm talking about controls a horde of vicious cats. They killed a friend of mine. And I wouldn't exactly be walking into the building myself. But that's getting ahead of myself. The point is, I need you to help me."
Sarah felt her heart stop for a moment. Vicious cats? The Hive. Dammit. At least that meant there was only one psycho loose that they needed to worry about. Her mind worked furiously, what she should do, would be to get the upper hand and make this guy accompany her back to the BPRD building. Protocol and all that other nonsense. The problem was, he kept using that word 'need' in conjunction with the word 'help' and she found herself unable to turn him down.
She sighed loudly. "Alright, fine, I'll help you," she said. "But the gun gets put away. Now. It's not doing you any favours."

Marcus was glad the woman agreed. She seemed willing to cooperate, which was a very good thing. "Fine. In an act of trust, I'll put it away," he said, swiftly putting it back in his pocket.
"Alright, here's what I need from you. I think I know the location of his lab, but I'm gonna need quite a bit of help with getting in and taking him out. I'm sure he will have top notch security around the premises, and I need someone to turn it off. I know you're Sarah. How I know this isn't important, what's important is that you're the one who can manipulate machines, so that's one thing taken care of," he commented slyly.
"The only problem is that I can't go in there alone. I need people with experience to back me up, and the BPRD has some of the best. Abe Sapien, Hellboy, Elizabeth Sherman and Ty Smith were the ones I'd like the most. I need you to try to convince at least two of them to help me on this; if you can't do that, I'll still try, but I probably will fail and he'll slip through your grasp; relocate and what not. Are we clear?" Marcus asked

As the gun was moved away from her back, Sarah turned around to look the guy in the eye. It was always good to look who you were dealing with in the eye. It didn't hurt to figure out what he looked like either, that was always helpful too. She listened quietly to the start of his plan. Getting into to Mr Psycho's lab, cause that sounded like fun. One thing caught her off guard though.
"...I know you're Sarah. How I know this isn't important, what's important is that you're the one who can manipulate machines, so that's one thing taken care of,"
She narrowed her eyes at him. "Gee, and I didn't catch your name," she said, feigning sadness.
"The only problem is that I can't go in there alone. I need people with experience to back me up, and the BPRD has some of the best. Abe Sapien, Hellboy, Elizabeth Sherman and Ty Smith were the ones I'd like the most. Are we clear?"
"The thing is, dude, we're all still recovering from our last encounter with the evil horde of badness," she explained. Okay, she was being unfair toward the Hive, they'd managed to figure out it wasn't entirely their fault for the way they behaved but still... they were mean. She exposed her right arm to him, showing a bandage, stained with bright red blood. "And compared to what other people ended up with, this pretty little cut? Barely a graze." She covered her arm back up. "We're injured, and we're pissed, and as much as we'd love to get back at this guy, I don't know how many people I can convince to willingly walk right into the heart of it." She sighed, but she couldn't have this guy going in there by himself. "But I'll give it a shot."

Serena got annoyed. However, she stayed silent while the two had a discussion. She paid more attention when Ty was mentioned. "Wait. I'm in this, too."
Serena stood next to the man with the gun and looked at them both. "I may not be BPRD, but I'm still apart of this, at nighttime. I'm good at nightfall, and I'm not injured. Let me help..." She didn't want Ty hurt again.

Marcus turned to look at the woman. She seemed kind of pale . . . < Who knows? Seems there's lots of people running around that can to psycho things. Hell, ladies walking dogs are demons, who's to say this one isn't an elf or something?> he thought.
"Alright, you seem like you know what you're getting yourself into, so I'll accept your help," he said. He looked at Sarah and said, "But I still need you to talk to them. Us three alone have a slim chance at best." He took out two piece of paper with a number on it and gave Sarah and the other woman one each. "Call me in two days. And don't try to track it; it gets bounced between numerous machines and you'll just be wasting your time."

Sarah turned her attention to the other woman as she spoke. Looking her over. She didn't mean it in a judgemental kind of way, she just didn't want innocent people to get involved with the Hive. Then again, those who looked innocent often weren't.
"Alright," she agreed, after Gun-guy had. "You can accompany me back to BPRD and on the way explain to me who you are and why a sane person would actually volunteer for this mission."
She looked down at the piece of paper he handed her before shoving it into the back pocket of her jeans. "Machines. You say?" she asked, before shaking her head. "What would be the point of tracing it if we were just going to be meeting up with you anyway?" Sarah frowned for a moment. "Hold on, if you're so sure the BPRD wants you dead, why are you willing to risk getting involved with some of its best agents?"

Marcus sighed. < The woman just doesn't get it,> he thought. "Listen, the BPRD wants me dead, not their agents. I have no problem working with their agents. But let me tell you, if I went in there I'm as good as dead," he explained. "If you must know, I know a little too much about a few things, and I killed someone important to get it."
He looked Sarah in the eye and said, "I know government agents aren't used to trusting people like me, but I'm going to have to ask you to trust me. If it makes you feel better, I'm just as uncomfortable about this as you are. But this man's beasts killed someone that happened to be close to me, and I'm gonna get him for that."
