The entirety of the Antarctica BPRD staff was gathered in the monitor room for a meeting. It wasn't much of a feat, the room was just big enough for the ten men and women who kept the place running. They were all well aware of what was going on, ten people made for a very efficient grape vine after all, so this was really just an exercise in John's ability to plead with those under his command.
"Okay everyone, I know you're all excited to see evidence of the outside world, but please remember that we still have a job to do." John said. "We need to at least pretend to take our jobs seriously while our guests are here."
It was rare for the Antarctic base to get visits from other departments, but the bureau did occasionally like to show their agents where all of their more dangerous finds ended up. From a more cynical point of view, the visit also served as a warning for what could happen to agents who screwed up. More than one of the base's current staff had ended up here after crossing the wrong person or fouling up the wrong mission.
"Our guests will be here in an hour. Be polite."

Sarah enjoyed visiting other countries. Usually it was somewhere a little more populated and there was something that needed to be killed almost immediately. But still, flying to new and exciting places was... well... new and exciting. Why would Antarctica be any different?
Because Antarctica is freakin' cold.
Her biggest, warmest, fluffiest jacket was no match for the ice desert, and while everything had been completely fine inside the jet, the short walk from the jet to the BPRD base froze her hands in their fists. Fun times.
Still, she figured it'd be warmer inside the base itself, and it would be really interesting to see what they got up to there, and all the artefacts that were too dangerous for more populated bases.

"I won't have to worry about Bro killing me when I get back to the base,"[/i] Aislynn grumbled, "This snow is gunna do it for me!"Despite morphing into a feline, the one with the thickest coat of fur she knew, Shifter was still freezing. She had been expecting Antarctica to be cold - and wasn't disappointed - but she honestly hadn't expected it to be this cold. From the moment she stepped off the jet, her blood had frozen in her veins. Before she could even get down to ground level, her fur was covered with the white stuff. It wasn't fun. In the back of her mind, a voice argued that she knew she shouldn't have come on this trip. She should have stayed at home, where it was warm, and just been lazy. These people didn't need her on this trip, as it was mainly to test relationships and see how the agents up here were doing. Still Shifter had begged and pleaded for permission to come, despite her brother's utter dislike of John Myers, and had finally been granted permission. Now she was regretting it. Her paws touched the snow - and Aislynn took off. It took her three quick bounds, but then was inside the door, safe from the snow. She shook her entire body, forcing the snow to fly off her fur, and then plopped down. The Saber Tooth Tiger looked lazily up at the other agents as they entered.

Hannah really liked this place.
She didn't particularly know why. Maybe it was because, no matter where she went, there was water. Condensed, frozen water, but water. And where there was water... Well, suffice to say, she was getting a bit of powers-practice in while she was in Antarctica. She'd never attempted working with ice before. The woman flicked her index finger and a small icicle cut itself from the ground, doing a little flip before landing in her outstretched palm, and she gave a wide grin. The cold wasn't even really bothering her.
She did feel some sort of relief when she walked into the base, however, and as the icicle began to melt in the semi-heat she made the small trendles of water float around her hand in a spiraling fashion. Hannah took a curious look around the Antarctic base.[/color]

Myers gave a polite smile as the three (at least he assumed that the large cat was an agent and not an actual Saber Tooth Tiger) approached the base. Hannah he recognized from his last trip to BPRD Headquarters, the other two were new to him. However, they wouldn't have made it onto the plane, which had met all clearance qualifications, if they were not legitimate agents.
"Welcome to the Antarctic Base," He said as soon the the three women had gotten close enough to hear him. "I'm John Myers, the lead agent for the year round team."
John gestured for them to enter the base. The cold hadn't begun to effect him too much yet, but he had become slightly more tolerant of it over his years there. If these three were all from the same base, then they would not have that advantage. It wouldn't go well for him if Hellboy though he'd let his teammates risk exposure.

Sarah examined the male agent closely, automatically looking him up and down. It was unnecessary, of course, to be even mildly suspicious of the man. He was, after all, a BPRD agent, who everyone aside from Red seemed to like and trust.
Blinking quickly, the woman smiled apologetically at him. She considered stretching out her hand as he introduced herself, but realised that was quite impossible with them frozen the way they were.
"Sarah Broughton," she said, gratefully stepping into the, much warmer, base. "Technopath and... no, that's pretty much it." She flexed her fingers as they began to thaw out and sting. "Nice to finally meet you, John, I've heard quite a bit about you."

Aislynn watched with mild amusement as John Myers, a man she knew and remembered from his brief "visit" to her branch of the BPRD, introduced himself. She lifted her head slightly, then glanced over at Sarah. She did the same, and Aislynn had to wince upon seeing how frozen the woman's hands were. That certainly wasn't good.
Once Sarah had finished speaking, Shifter rolled so she was on her paws, then pushed herself so she was standing. Quietly, she padded over to Sarah and Hannah, walking around each of them twice, brushing her fur against them. It wasn't the best way to warm either, but it was the best she had to offer - and sometimes it was just the thought that counted.
She turned her eyes to John as she sat beside Hannah, "Aislynn White, though the peeps just call me Shifter. Short, sweet, and to the point." Just like her claws, she thought with a quiet chuckle.
