Ty smiled, his face starting to flush a bit as well. He didn't know why he was so willing to open up to her like that. They'd only just met. But, the words just came out.
"Yes, you did," he said. "Thanks." He just stood there, his arms still around her. He felt so peaceful, so happy. Better than any adrenaline rush had ever made him feel.

Serena beamed. "Glad I did, then." She didn't dare move from where she was. She felt comfortable there. She didn't know the feeling very well, having only been human 200 years ago. Living as a vampire was so different, and there were so many rules. Was she breaking one now? Did she even care? No, not really. She felt happy, and that was the most important thing to her. If they were happy, then nothing else mattered. "So, um, what do we do from here?"
....until she might have just ruined the moment. She mentally gave herself a facepalm.

Ty smiled, looking at her. He didn't care about anything else but her at the moment. A passing thought told him that Hannah probably wouldn't be too happy about this, but he brushed that thought aside.
"So, um, what do we do from here?"
Serena's voice snapped him out of his trance. He gazed into her eyes, thinking. He smiled a small grin. "I have an idea...." Leaning in, he planted a soft kiss on her lips.

Serena was surprised at what just happened. He kissed her softly on the lips, and she kissed back, as if it were instinct. It was a good thing, though. She was relieved she didn't have to say that she had no clue what she was doing. Even when she was human, she had never been kissed.
Serena blinked at him, and then smiled, before planting a kiss on his lips again, this time lingering on the taste as her arms went around his neck and she closed her eyes, enjoying the moment. She wasn't going to be the one to pull away.
Oh, yes, she was possibly breaking about four rules right about now, but she pushed them aside. She also pushed aside the fact that Edward was going to flip out.

Ty smiled back at her, and kissed her back. His left hand moved upwards, running through her hair. He hadn't kissed many during his short life, and of those few, this was by far the best.
He gently pulled away, slightly out of breath and smiling. The fact that Hannah was probably going to freak never crossed his mind.

Serena felt slight disappointment when Ty pulled away. She smiled though, in spite of that feeling. "Wow..." She couldn't find the words to say as this particular vampire fell in love with this particular human. She didn't know what happened usually, but this was by far the best thing that had happened to her.
She felt a blush as she quickly hid in his chest, giggling just the same. She took in his scent and she relished in it. She loved that smell, and she always would. That would be all that she could think about.....she knew it.

"Yeah..." Ty said, still smiling. He smiled as she hid herself in his chest. He held onto her, not wanting the moment to end. She was just so wonderful. She put her life on the line for him, when she didn't even know him. She almost died, for a complete stranger. But, they weren't exactly strangers anymore.
Ty had never felt like this before. This was by far the greatest moment of his life.

Serena was one of the happiest vampires in the world right now as she stood there in his arms. She felt so comfortable in his arms. So at home. Was this supposed to happen? Was it meant to happen? She didn't really understand the rules of fate, why they would bring a vampire and human together only to be torn apart.
Would she turn him to keep him there forever? No. She wouldn't, because the statistics showed that even when asked the majority of humans-turned-vampire hated their sire for life anyway. Plus, she would have to be his mother, not girlfriend. It would never work...She threw those thoughts out the window and stayed in the present. She sighed happily as she snuggled in his arms.

His hand rubbed up and down her back as she snuggled him. He was so happy. It was perfect. Though, he knew it wouldn't last. After all, he was mortal, and mortals have to die sometime. He let out a contented sigh, running his other hand through her hair. I'll just enjoy it while it lasts. She's too amazing to let go.

Serena felt Ty rub her back and she was content. Then out of the blue it felt like she was being sucked out of that reality, and she took a deep intake of breath, and it sounded like a small shriek. She was being taken into the past.
"Edd-wahrd, You had chance. We gave chance. This your fault." Then the creatures--whatever they were--pounced on Edward, full force, knocking him down. He fought as hard as he could until one of the creatures reached his jugular with his teeth, ripping it out. Blood splittered on the floor, and Serena was sucked back into reality.
Serena froze, having tightened her grip on Ty as the scene played over in her head. She felt something liquidy hit her hands and realized she was crying. What was she doing?! She could still stop this! "E-Edward's in trouble...he's about to be killed..."

Ty closed his eyes, relaxing against her. They flew open as she took in a sharp gasp of breath. Ty let go when she mentioned Edward being in trouble. Without a word, he ran inside and grabbed his stuff, namely his daggers and a wooden baseball bat, before running back outside.
"Where is he?" Ty asked.

Serena was a little confused when Ty went inside and then she widened her eyes as he came back. "Ty...you might be killed out there, too...I-I..." She looked away and then back at him. "If you're sure...he's down that way..." She pointed the direction of Edward, and she kept fighting back tears, and tried to hide the worry on her face as Ty stood there with daggers and a baseball bat. If they both died, it would be her fault...their blood on her hands...She didn't think she could handle that.

Ty put the daggers on his belt, letting the hand with the baseball bat hang by his side. He nodded. "I'll be back soon, don't worry." He turned to leave, and was surprised when he found himself lifted off of the ground. Serena was carrying him! "Or this works," he said as they headed towards the alley. Continued Here
