Hannah was analyzing the Hive's skull. It certainly was a beautiful piece of work. Even if the man who had made it was deranged, she had to give him some credit; he definitely knew how to give his animals a bit of flair. Namely, how the teeth on this thing curved backwards, like fishing hooks. If it bit you with its back teeth and you tried to pull out, they would only go further in.
Which... which reminded her of something.
"I mean, I just saw the vampire brother of my gir-uh...friend...having trouble with them. He's not exactly Little Mister Sunshine.... But, yeah, I had a little encounter with them. That one did this..."
Wait... what?
Vampire?
Hannah frowned, setting the skull down on the table, then leaving the room to go look for Ty. She had to figure out what exactly had happened at his first encounter with the Hive.

Ty was in his room, sitting at his desk, fumbling with the collar they had gotten off of the Hive. His tools were strown about the desk, and his laptop was next to the mess.
He was researching the technology of the collar, trying to figure out its exact function. More specifically, what exactly it meant when the light turned off after disconnecting the collar.
"Interesting piece o' work. That guy's a major lunatic, but he knows what he's doing." He shut his laptop, just as in the dark as he was before. He yawned. Getting up, he stretched, and decided just to take a little stroll around the building. Maybe if I take a break, something in my brain'll spark later...

Hannah was walking briskly down the hallway when she saw Ty. She made a beeline towards him immediately. "Bro? Hey, bro, wait up!" As she neared him, she slowed down. "I, um... I gotta talk to you about something." Her brow furrowed.

Ty wasn't paying much attention as he walked down the hallway.
"Bro? Hey, bro, wait up!" Startled, he jumped, and soon, Hannah had caught up to him. ["I, um... I gotta talk to you about something." Ty was confused, having no idea what it could be about. He figured it was something about the Hive, since that was their latest problem.
"Okay. I got nothin' on the collar...What's up?" He looked at her, under the impression that something was wrong.

Hannah swallowed, unsure of how to start. "Um..." She bit her lip. "When we were out there, with that man... you were talking about when you got bitten..."
She looked at the ground, feeling somewhat unsettled about it all. "You said something about a... about a vampire... Bro, how exactly did you first see the Hive? The entire story." The woman walked in front of him then turned, stopping him.

Ty stopped when she stood in front of him. He'd thought (and hoped) she'd forgotten about that. He sighed. "The full story, huh? Well, you were bound to find out eventually. It was about a week or two ago, and I was standing outside talking to my vampire...friend...when she had some sort of vision of her brother being attacked and killed by these things.
She and her bro have helped me out a time or two, and I thought I'd return the favor. We get to the scene just in time, and there's like....twice as many there than were with that guy. Like I said before, I ran full-speed to get her bro, and the talking one ran me down and bit me."

Hannah would have been satisfied, but she was an observant person. She'd noticed the slight hesitation when he'd said "friend." The woman's frown deepened. "And she's a... vampire." Her hand raised somewhat, touching her own collarbone absent-mindedly.

Ty looked at her, unsure of why she was acting this way. He knew she didn't like vampires, but didn't know why she was all of a sudden asking about his "friend."
"Yeah...she's a vampire. Look, I know you don't like them, but Serena's different." He raised an eyebrow. "Something wrong, Sis?"

"Something wrong, Sis?"
"Yeah..." Hannah swallowed again. She was unsure of how to explain why she was acting so strange about this. She'd never told Ty about Marcus... she'd never told anyone about Marcus. "Bro... you remember that guy I was dating? And then one day he just... vanished?"

Ty listened as she spoke, frowning a little when she said 'yeah.' He thought a moment. "Yeah, I sorta remember 'im. Whatever happened to him? And what's this have to do-Ohhhhh.....he was a vampire, wasn't he?" He looked at the ground. He felt bad for her now, but he just knew that Serena was different.

Hannah nodded, feeling tears well up in her eyes. She pulled her shirt down a bit, revealing the two little puncture wounds on her collar bone. "There's more, but... they're mostly on my inner thigh." She sniffed. "He just... left one night. Didn't give me any way to contact him, never came back... I thought Marcus loved me, but I was just some sort of living, breathing snack machine to him."

Ty felt tears welling up in his own eyes as he looked at her after hearing her story. "I...I'm so sorry, Sis...." was all he could say. At least he now knew what she had against vampires. He couldn't blame her, but he still loved Serena, no matter what she was. She wouldn't do anything like that to him.
"I had no idea..."

"Well, I better get back to the lab... I think I might have found something in that creature's brain... it's weird, but I can't figure out why..."
She began to walk off, but turned back to look at him for a second. "Look, bro... date who you want. I just don't want to see you get hurt." And with that, she left to try and figure out just what about the brain had been so odd...

Ty nodded. "Okay," he said. When she turned and spoke, he walked over to her, giving her a hug. "Thanks, Sis. I appreciate how much you care." He let go. "Well, I need to go do some more research on that collar, so I'll see you later." He flashed a grin before heading back to his room.
