William walked down the dark street, cane in hand. He had some of the Hive, his babies, nearby, though not right with him. Just in case he'd need backup for this. All he needed was a dog to test a sample of his new DNA serum he'd made with Ty's blood.
He saw the perfect specimen. Reddish brown in color, lean, though fit. A dingo, from the looks of it. eating what seemed to have been a squirrel. William whistled. "Come here, boy."
Chase was eating a squirrel, having left Arty back home. Then he heard the voice. Chase's head popped up, and he growled. "Boy? The 'ell you think ya are, mate?"
"Oh look, the little doggy talks. And with an Australian accent. Oh, you'll be a perfect specimen...."
"Specimen? Doggy? I'm a weredingo, ya sorry bloke!"
William smiled a sick smile. "Weredingo...." He tried the word out. "Magnificent. Quiet the rarity...Oh, you'll do nicely....now...will you come quietly, or do we have to do this the hard way?"
"You and what army?"
"I thought you'd never ask." William let out a low whistle, calling his babies to his side.

Screeeeee!
They appeared on all sides, sabre fangs bared and ready, a willing army for their master. Their muscles rippled under their fur as they slunk forward, powerful bodies sliding gracefully through the grass. Then, they stopped, not attacking, simply awaiting orders; the perfect little pets they were.

"There's your answer, Doggy," William said as the Hive appeared from everywhere. He smiled, stepping forward. "Now, are you going to be a good little puppy and come quietly?"
Chase growled, baring his teeth.
"Well, there's my answer...." With that, he jabbed his cane into the dingo, same as he had Ty.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!
The dingo dropped as William withdrew the cane. "21395, you and your pack come with me, and bring the weredingo. Remember, I need him alive for my tests. The rest of you go hunt." With that, he turned and led the way back home.

21395 nodded, barking to his pack. Two of the omegas grabbed the body, using their front teeth, being careful of the sabres and the hook-like back ones, and slung it over their leader's back, like a packmule carrying a package. Then, they and the rest of the pack flanked 21395 as they followed their master back to the laboratory.

William walked briskly to the lab, eager to begin his tests. If this worked, the Hive would be that much stronger. If it failed....well, if it failed, there would be one less weredingo in the world. That, or Chase would be horribly mutated.
When he got to the lab, he put his cane away, and walked over to 21395 and patted him on the head before picking up Chase and carrying him over to an examination table, setting him down and hooking devices and monitors to him.
Then, he turned to 21395 and the pack. "Good job as always, my babies. Go eat." He then turned his attention to Chase as he pulled out the needle with a little bit of serum in it. He injected Chase's flank with it, watching the monitors as his creation entered the weredingo's bloodstream. He was glad Ty just happened to have blood type O. That way, complications and/or modifications were avoided.
He grinned. "So far, so good..."

As 21395 and his pack left, the queen stood and padded silently over to the table, eying the weredingo with interest. Her ocean-blue eyes glanced up at William. "What do you think will happen to him?" she asked, voice nearly a whisper.

"Well, according to the information I gathered from....fast man's....blood, and what I've gathered from the Hive that fought him, it should greatly increase his abilities to rival that of fast man."
He kept close watch on the monitors. "It should increase speed, durability, and reflexes, but it may also transfer more if fast man can do more that we don't know about..."
He sighed. "Well, we can only know once he comes to. And precious, that part is a guessing game. God I hate those...."

The queen rubbed against William's leg, purring. "I don't doubt your abilities, Will," she said as she turned and padded around to the other side of the table, examining the weredingo. She could tell, by the smell, that it was no normal dog, but she didn't ask questions. She would find out when he came to, and she could wait until then. The queen was a patient "woman".

Chase groaned, his eyes slowly opening. "The 'ell?" he said, looking around. His head hurt a little.
William unhooked the machines, and smiled. "Well, doggy, let's see how good you are now. He picked up his cane and stuck him again.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZT!
Chase fell, but got back up a few minutes later. He was relatively unscathed.
William wrote furiously in his notebook: 'Durability increased.' "Well, precious, so far so good. What do you say we test our new friend's reflexes next?"

The queen watched, and couldn't help but giggle when Chase got shocked. She looked on in awe as he got back up, a grin forming on her face. She had to admit it; even if it did fill her with unease, William's work was beautiful and fantastic.
"Well, precious, so far so good. What do you say we test our new friend's reflexes next?"
The queen's grin became a sadistic smile. She nodded. "Let's see what he can do, Will." Her ocean blue eyes shone.

William nodded, a similar sadistic grin on his face, while Chase just looked confused. "Let's."
"Wha-?" Chase said, leaping out the way with incredible speed just as a test tube smashed against the wall behind him.
William laughed, picking up a paintball gun. He promptly took aim and started firing at Chase, only hitting the very tip of his tail once.
Chase growled. "What's the idea, mate?"
"Nothing. Just seeing what my serum I gave you can do," he said innocently. "Very impressive. Wouldn't you say so, precious?"

The queen laughed at the weredingo as William threw a test tube and shot at him. Of course, the creature wasn't harmed; William's serum had worked, just like the queen had predicted.
"What's the idea, mate?"
"Nothing. Just seeing what my serum I gave you can do. Very impressive. Wouldn't you say so, precious?"
She smiled, eyeing the weredingo. "Beautiful, Will, simply beautiful. I think you may have outdone yourself."

Chase looked at the creature Will called "precious." He sort of smiled. "So....'precious,' is it? Name's Chase..."
"Okay. Time for your rest. We've got many tests tomorrow." With that, William shot Chase with a tranquilizer and put him in a small holding cell after he dropped.
"Actually, the testing's done. I just need to keep an eye on him for a few days to watch for side effects to make sure it's safe for my babies, and I don't want him roaming my lab."
He knelt down next to her. "This is truly a milestone. And thank you." He gently scratched behind her ears for a little bit.

"So....'precious,' is it? Name's Chase..."
The queen growled at Chase, a bit taken aback. She wasn't used to anyone hitting on her; in fact, she didn't even know that was what he was doing. But whatever he was doing, she didn't like it. She stepped away from him.
Then, she watched, smiling again when William tranquilized him.
"This is truly a milestone. And thank you."
She purred, pushing her head into his hand. She grinned at him. "Anytime, William."

William nodded. "Remember, precious, no matter what my experiments are, you and the other Hive will always be my Babies." He smiled down at her.
Later, Chase's eyes slowly rolled open. He groaned, standing to his feet.
William stood up, and opened the door, having monitored Chase the entire time he was out. "Well, he's suffered no side eff-HOLY CRAP! LOOK AT HIS EYES...."
"Wha? My eyes?
"THEY'RE BLUE!" William said, excited. "Well, that seems to be the only side effect. You're free to go."
"Go? Can't I stay a little longer?"
"Sure...after all, my babies haven't eaten yet....you'd do," William said sharply.
With that, Chase turned and left, going to find Arty, who was probably worried sick about him. Before he left, he turned to the Queen. "So long, precious. I'll see you again. I promise."
"Oh, no you won't," Will said when Chase was gone.
