"Stupid cats..." brush brush "...getting hair all over my clothes..." wipe wipe "...needs to learn to keep his animals in his OWN room..."
Hannah walked into the library, brushing cat hair off of her black t-shirt. She was in a bit of a surly mood, as it was plain to see, but she had come to the library for a reason. There was a mission with a vampire coming up, and she needed to do some research on this particular type. She'd fought many before; but none like this.
She just hoped they were weak against holy water. That was, pretty much, one of the few things she would be able to help with. The woman hoped they could get another couple gallons of the stuff shipped in so she could keep it in vials on her belt like she had the last time they had fought something like it. She let out a yawn and looked around. Abe wasn't in his tank... but she could quite recall where he had gone. Shrugging, she picked up a book off of the shelf, took a seat in one of the cushy chairs, and began to read.

Ty had been been asked to research...something,so he'd went to the library. Meaning, he was bored. He didn't know what he hated more, being bored, or the library. Wait, yes he did; being bored-by a long shot. He'd forgotten what he was there to research in the first place, so he picked up a random book and started reading, his mind wandering back to his dark past.
Eventually, he lost interest, going from reading to just skimming, to just staring at the page for a few minutes before going to the next one. Before long, Ty was slouched in his chair, book in his hand, hanging limply by his side. His eyes were closed, and a faint snore occasionally escaped him.

Hannah looked over to Ty, rolling her eyes. After finishing her chapter and bookmarking the page, she pulled a smaller book off of the shelf and lobbed it at his head. Then, the woman went back to reading, as if nothing had ever happened, smiling. Inwardly, she chuckled. She always liked messing with her "brother", and the book couldn't have hurt that bad.

WHAP! Ty was woken from his sleep when a book popped him upside the head. It didn't hurt, just scared the living daylights out of him. His eyes flew open and he jumped as the book hit the floor. His chair tipped over, spilling him out onto the ground. He got up, picking up the chair and the book. Then, he saw Hannah, reading innocently. Innocent...yeah, right.... He smiled to himself. "Very funny," he said, lobbing the book back. It landed and skidded across the table, stopping right in front of her.

Hannah chuckled, putting on a fake innocent face and pouting. "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about," she said, mouth breaking into a grin. She picked the book up and put it back on the shelf, where she had gotten it. She swirled her finger in a circular motion, and the bubbles in Abe's tank mimicked it. "Aren't you supposed to be researching vampires, bro?" she asked. She held up her book, "The Vampires of Northern Italy." "Or are you not going on that mission?"

"Oh, yeah...I am..." Ty stammered, realizing that was the reason he was there. So that's what I was here for... "I uh, guess I got bored and fell asleep." He glanced down at the book in his hand, The Zombinis of Russia. Quickly, he slid it back on the shelf and walked over to Hannah, hoping she was far enough away that she didn't see the title.

Hannah frowned and cocked a brow. "That... that was a book on zombies, Ty." She let out a laugh. She had seen the title when he had been sleeping. "The vampire books are kept in that area." She pointed over to an section of shelves with remarkably well-worn books. "A couple of them are fiction, but you'd be surprised on how often the authors get it right." She gave him a light grin.

Ty smiled a nervous grin and looked away. "Okay, sis," he said. "You got me." He let out a small chuckle. "I....totally forgot what I was supposed to be doing here...." He picked up the nearest vampire book and looked over it real quick. "You know how I can be sometimes. There are days I can't even remember what day it is..." He let out another laugh. "I tell ya, I'd be in a total mess without you, Hannah."

Hannah grinned at him. "Well, read up, cuz this one's supposed to be particularly nasty." She cracked open her book again. "Do you have any idea when the equipment will be arriving for this mission?" she asked. "I'm sorta excited about it. I heard they're getting some new guns for it and I'm dying to try them."

"Eh, I don't mind nasty," he said, looking through his book. "But, you probably know that. You've met my ex," he joked. He let out a teasing sigh. "You and your guns. Oh well, you have your way, and I'd rather stab or bash heads in. Each to their own, I guess...." He looked at her over the top of his book, grinning his signature insane grin.

She had just noticed someone had left a glass of water on the table behind Ty. She had the perfect idea. Hannah cocked a brow. "Well, I may like guns," she said, "but my preferred weapon is..." Manipulating the liquid, she made in rise up out of the glass, and above his head. "...water." She let go of it, and it splashed on him. She manipulated the droplets so his book remained perfectly dry, and began laughing.

It had been a while since John had visited the main branch of the BPRD, nearly two years in fact. As head of the Antarctic base he was usually too busy with administration duties too even consider a vacation, the the few holidays he got had been spent either at a beach or his uncle's home. The agent was here on business, an artifact had been brought in that required an immediate transfer to the southern base.
Stepping into the library he was confronted not with Abe, with whom he still communicated, but two younger agents that he had never met. They were discussing what John assumed to be their next case, and from he sound of it the pair had the same violent tactics as Hellboy.
"Excuse me," he interrupted, "is Abe around?"

Hannah stood immediately, giving the older agent a polite smile, a salute, and then bowing her head. She could tell he was of a higher rank then her, so she was trying to treat him with respect. "Oh, no sir," she said, her voice becoming quiet, as it did around people she didn't know. "I don't know where he's gone off to. He might be with agent Hellboy." She pulled some moisture out of the air and twirled it around her finger in a spiral pattern.

Ty couldn't help but smile as he was covered in water. He should have seen it coming, but even if he had, he wouldn't have been able to react except by running up a bookshelf or across the ceiling. "Shoulda seen that coming," he joked.
Then, an older agent approached, and Ty tried his best to show the same respect, though it was awkward for him. "Um...I haven't seen him," Ty said casually.

John how the lighthearted atmosphere created by the pairs banter was immediately stifled when he had made his presence known. It wasn't that surprising, the same thing happened at his base when visitors were present. It was strange to be an outsider here, there was a time when it was home.
"I see."
A soft meowing reminded Myers that he had brought a companion with him. Bending down he picked up Tippy, his feline backup for this mission. The tiger cat immediately began to clam her way up the man's jacket.
"I guess I'll just wait for him then."
As awkward as it would be to wait with two complete strangers, checking for Abe in Hellboy's quarters would be even worse. John didn't have anything against the big red man, but they hadn't parted on the best of terms.
