42184 sulked up and down streets aimlessly. She was depressed that she was disconnected from her pack. She was only 6 months old and she made a mistake that she jumped in front of a car. She wondered how William was doing without her. He may have forgotten about her, considering she was just a regular pack member.
Silently 42184 came upon an alleyway with several gang members inside. She paused by the wall and listened. She didn't want to continue life. She wanted to end it, and this gave her the chance. She ran at them full speed until she was in the middle, and then growled. One of the men freaked and raised a dagger. Now it was only a matter of time until she was dead...

Ty was roaming down the street, just doing a little hunting for action. Then, in an alleyway, he saw something. It was one of those creatures! He noticed a few things though.
It was alone, there was no collar, it seemed different, almost depressed, and it was about to die. Racing to the scene, he had his dagger out, dropping the gangster with the dagger.
Using his speed, he'd soon ran them all away. He looked at the creature, putting his dagger away. He slowly approached. "Hey, there..." he said softly. He knew something was different about this one, and didn't think it'd try anything.

42184 waited for the dagger to drop onto her back that would kill her, but it never came. She looked around, surprised that it didn't happen. "What...?" She noticed a human standing there in front of her. She gave out a low growl.
"What was that for, human? I wanted...." 42184 stopped herself. Maybe she couldn't say it, but she wanted to go through with it. She sat down. "What does human like you want to do with something like me?" Her squinty blue eyes looked up at him, depression still riding on her back.

Ty looked at her. "I did that because I could. And you don't deserve to die." He knelt down next to her. "I don't know why, but you seem different from the others. I just want to help you." He looked at the Hive a moment. Sure, Hannah needed a living one to check out, but that wasn't Ty's motive. This creature just needed a friend.

42184 snorted and shook her head. "Human do not understand. I am alone. I would not be missed if I died, and I would not be alone if dead." She gave another snort at what he said next.
"I am different. I am no longer with my family. They do not care what happens to me, and neither should you. I have been abandoned by my pack, because car hit me and kill my collar. So I am alone. No one should care. I am just science." With that, she went to turn away. "Goodbye, human."

Ty ran, cutting her off as she turned to leave. "No. No one deserves death." He blinked, taking note of what she said about the collar. "You're not just science. Not by a long shot. Sure, you were created instead of born, but you live and breathe just like I do."
He knelt down to be at eye level with the creature, scratching behind her ears. "You're not alone anymore. Why don't you come back home with me? Me and my friends'll take care of you. You'll have a new home, a new family. A new purpose."

42184 stopped when Ty got in front of her. She sat down again and waited for him to finish what he was saying. "How would you know who deserves death and who does not? There are dead men and women who are not dead. Did they deserve to become walking dead? You do not know me, human, and yet, you are here saying I do not deserve death. You do not know that."
42184 tilted her head at Ty's offer. "Have your friends discussed having an outcast live amongst you? Is it even permitted in this world? I think not..."

Ty thought. "Dead men who are not...oh! Vampires..." he said to himself. "That's a different matter. But you're a magnificient creature, whether you think so right now or not."
He smiled. "You're not an outcast just because one group abandons you. A lot of my friends are different from normal humans, as am I. They'll accept you. I know it."

42184 hardly even blinked. "The meaning of 'magnificent creature' to one is different to another...To you it may mean what it says. To me, it means worthless animal that does nothing alone."
42184 listened as he continued talking. "You know this...how do you know this? Answer this and I will go with you...answer this and I will try to believe you for a while."

"I told you," Ty said. "You're not alone anymore." Ty sighed, standing to his feet. He took off running to his left, not at full speed, but still fast enough so he ran straight up the side of the building and back down. He stopped when he was back in front of her.
Looking at her, he said, "They accepted me. When they found me, I was nothing more than some punk kid with a 'gift' who escaped from a home for troubled boys. I too, was alone and rejected."

42184 watched silently as Ty ran up the wall and back down. She cocked her head to the side. "You would...accept me into your home when so many of my kind have hunted humans to eat. I will have to do that as well...how go around with that?"
42184 walked up to Ty and poked his hand with her nose. "I am 42184. If allowed, I will come live with you, Master."

"Well....we'll just have to find you some other source of meat is all," Ty said. He patted her on the head. "42184....Can I call you Cassandra? Cass for short? I'm bad with numbers...." He scratched his head, smiling nervously. "You can call me Ty. And yes, you can come."

421-Cass stood on her feet. "Let me see if I can say this correctly....Dy....no....Ty? Yes? Well, Master Ty, you will need to lead the way...." Cass liked her name and her number. It seemed to match her, though her number gave her memories of before...
"May I ask you something, Master Ty? How did you decide upon CastsandRha? Cass for short?" She was partly looking forward to seeing her new home, but then again, she wasn't sure who else would be there. She would only trust Ty.

Ty chuckled. "Yeah, I'll lead the way." He stood up and started in the direction of home. Ty shrugged. "I don't know. I've always liked that name. Cass. It's a nice name. And," he grinned at her. "It fits you."

Cass trotted next to Ty as they headed home. "I am glad you think it fits me. I think it does too." She stayed silent from there until they got home.
When they got there, Cass hid behind Ty's legs, somewhat afraid of what others would think of her, and yet mostly feeling too depressed to even deal with humans.
